OneLightShow
The OneLightShow is a new kind of variety show. A concept show.
Light no other,
like no other.
Vic Rivera and I bring together an unexpected collection of performers and give them one thing most venues can't offer: Undivided attention.
The bar closes. All the lights in the venue are turned off, except for one. On the performer.
For their five minute performance, the room belongs to them. We curate diverse performers who do not usually end up on the same stage, or in front of the same room in one night. The cast changes with every show. Maybe, a dancer. A writer. A comedian. An actor. A musician. Maybe something stranger..
There is no cover. Each night works as a trade of skills. The artist gives the room a performance. The artist receives a filmed piece in return.
COLLECTED TOGETHER, THESE PERFORMANCES BECOME A PORTRAIT OF THIS PLACE: STRANGE, SKILLED, GENEROUS, AND ALIVE.

Dancer Faith Minneyfield created this choreography special for the night. The music is Red Moon Rising by Vega Trails.
Writer Rachel León takes a non-traditional approach and reads the first and last page from her novel, How We See the Gray at a OneLightShow. This is the first time she’d read from the physical book in Rockford. It was released the day before.
Musician Damion Davis closed the OneLightShow with a song inspired by Greek Mythology. The tale of Sisyphus.
Musician Cory Wicklund, of @lonely__teenage, kicked off the night with this composition that he created on the fly and set the tone. This is the last few minutes of the piece.
